Flights of 3 Sauvignon Blancs and/or 3 Pinot Noirs from 3 distinct wine regions.
Taste the difference when soil, climate and environment come into play.
Is a California Sauvignon Blanc really different from one from New Zealand?
Are all Pinot Noirs the same?

Beer & Cheese Tasting
Brooklyn Brewery's DC representive, Junior Acevedo will join us to answer questions about Brooklyn's brews. Paula Wesley of International Gourmet Food, Inc. paired cheeses and other accoutrements with each selected brew.
Brooklyn Brewery Beers:
Oktoberfest: Full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and a brisk hop bitterness
Post Road Pumpkin: Orange-amber color, pumpkin aroma, light biscuit malt center and crisp finish
Weisse: Hazy, refreshing, brisk, banana, clove, melon
Concoction: Peaty Scotch, ginger-infused honey, and lemon juice
Black Ops: Coffee and chocolate, rich vanilla-bourbon notes
Sorachi Ace: Lemongrass, lemon zest aroma, crackling dry, hoppy golden farmhouse ale with a clean malt flavor
Local 2: Dry complex melody of rich chocolate, hints of spice, dark fruit and caramel.
6 oz. beer-tasting pours range in price from $7 to $9 each, which includes an individual taste of a paired cheese & accoutrement.

Meet & Greet and Beer-Tasting with
The Owners & Brewers of 3 Stars Brewing Company
DC's own 3 Stars Brewery Company founders Dave Coleman and Mike McGarvey will be on hand to "walk people through each grain and try to help them find a deeper understanding and appreciation for the beers that they are drinking."
Both beers featured at this event were collaborations, designed by both participating breweries and brewed on their systems: Evolution for The Syndicate; and, Oliver Ales for the B.W.Rye. Stephen Jones of Oliver Ales will join Coleman & McGarvey to explain the nuances of their collaboration.
3 Stars Brewery Beers:
Syndicate Saison: Hazy gold, light, effervescent, banana citrus aroma, medium hop bitterness with pepper notes. Brewed in collaboration with Geoff Debisschop and Joe Lemnah of Evolution Brewing Company.
B.W.Rye: Amber, sturdy carbonated body, bright hops kissed with pine, bitter finish mellowed with rye spice. Brewed in collaboration with Stephen Jones of Oliver Ales.
6 oz. beer-tasting pours, $5 each.
